Staff and Leader Application

Beginning December 15, 2009, potential Winnataska staff and leaders can now apply online! Follow the steps below to create an account, fill in your information, and submit your application. You can save and return to your information before you submit.

Please read over the Staff and Leader expectations, below, carefully before  applying:

1. All first-time leaders and potential staff members are required to attend an interview. More information about your interview will be emailed to you. Exceptions must be cleared with the hiring committee. The dates are January 30, 2010 and February 6, 2010. You will choose which date works best for you when you apply. The interviews are drop-in; meaning you are not given an assigned time.

2. All staff members and first-time leaders are required to attend Leadership weekend at camp, February 19-21, 2010 . All exceptions must be cleared with the Program Director. Returning leaders are encouraged to attend February 20, 2010.

3. Those first-time leaders who cannot attend leadership weekend are required to train at a make-up day, later in the spring. This date has yet to be determined.

4. Anyone who serves as a leader or staff member is required to be CPR certified. Important note: CPR certification must be renewed every year. You must provide documentation that you have taken the class, even if your card has not yet been mailed to you. (Letter from the instructor is acceptable.) A CPR class will be offered at Leadership Weekend, but space is limited. Please arrange to take a class on your own as soon as possible.

7. Leaders are responsible for printing out the teacher recommendation form, giving it to a teacher, and following up with the teacher to see that it was mailed to the camp office. (Note: Teachers find it helpful for you to include an addressed, stamped envelope.) Your application is not complete until this is received.

8. This application is due by January 15,2010. All late applications will be considered, but will be put on the waiting list.
